Double 2FA verification on our accounts. It's better to prevent than to cure
Nowadays we use many digital services such as administration accounts and applications that have most of our private data or very important information such as financial, an online store, email accounts, etc.
At first they asked us for an account with a minimum of 6 digits, then that changed to more difficult passwords with capital letters and symbols. The problem is that one account is memorable but when you have to manage 10 accounts between yours and your business, it becomes impossible.
We must consider that all our passwords are stored on both computers and phones and that if someone takes possession of these it will not be difficult for them to decipher them with the videos that are circulating on the Internet.
But there is a solution! and it is called two-factor authentication. We see it in the bank with the digipass and other devices that give us a number synchronized with our bank account. We can do the same with the vast majority of our internet accounts.
To manage all your accounts I recommend the Authy application, which is a digital digipass type application that gives us a second password for 24 seconds in addition to the one we use to access our accounts and this password is independent for each account.
When you install authy, a series of backup keys are generated that you should print and hide in a safe place since only your pin or fingerprint (which I recommend having) will unlock this application that generates the second key to access your accounts.
Authy is gratuitous and recognizes all accounts that have double factor such as Google, Shopify, Instagram, Facebook, Uber and many more.
So even if your computer or cell phone is stolen and they obtain your passwords or your accesses remembered on those devices, without this second password it is impossible to access.
Personally, I use it with all my accounts and you feel much safer knowing that you have a second dynamic password so that no one else who still has your password can steal your money, information or ask for money in exchange for giving you access back.
